Weekly Classes

• After school classes are offered Mondays and Thursdays

• Classes will start immediately after school and run until 3:50. Students enrolled in after school programs following chess will be dismissed directly to those after school programs.

• Monday classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels

  • Dates include: 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 12/23, 1/6. 1/13, 1/27, 2/3, and 2/10

  • Cost is $540 for the semester ($30 per class)

• Thursday classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels

  • Dates include: 9/19, 9/26, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/14, 11/21, 12/5, 12/12, 12/19, 1/2, 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, and 2/13

  • Cost is $540 for the semester ($30 per class)

• The PTA, in partnership with Eight By Eight Chess, offers a limited number of scholarships to make chess participation accessible to PS 145 students. Due to the limited spots, these scholarships are allocated through a lottery system. If you have financial hardship that genuinely necessitates financial aid, please check the box on the registration form to be considered for the lottery.
